The Town of Cobourg (Town) is initiating a Master Plan study to identify the potential sewage system improvements required to address growth within the Town.

The Town of Cobourg Community Services Division is pleased to announce that reservations for the 2025 season at the Victoria Park Campground will open on Monday, February 3, at 9 a.m.

The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Town of Cobourg (Town) have undertaken a Planning, Preliminary Design, and Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Study for a new Highway 401 interchange with Nagle Road within the Town and the Township of Hamilton. The Town initiated this study to develop a Recommended Plan for a new interchange to support the transportation objectives set forth in the Town’s Official Plan and future growth within the Cobourg East Community Secondary Plan area.

The Town of Cobourg’s Civic Awards Committee is now open for nominations for the 22nd Annual Civic Awards to recognize local residents who have helped benefit the community through outstanding volunteerism and community involvement.

At the Wednesday, December 18, 2024 Regular Council meeting, Council approved the 2025 Capital Budget in the amount of $111,482,784 and Operating Budget of $25,128,070 with a Municipal Levy of $32,688,195 which represents a 6.55% increase over the 2024 Operating Budget and a 5.23% net increase after allowing for new assessment growth of 2.32% and an infrastructure levy of 1.00%.
